Purpose: The AGM provides vital support to the General Manager in the leadership for the marketing and operations functions for the Truck Service Profit Center. This includes the hiring/staffing, training, development, and supervision of the staff to maximize the Truck Service’s profitability by building and maintaining a strong loyal customer base within company policies. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all Truck Service functions while managing the shift(s).

Truck Service Shop

  • We provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing most makes of commercial vehicles - -trucks and trailers - -in a friendly and safe retail environment.
  • We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to offer a full range of repair and maintenance services.
  • Typical services include:  tire repair / replacement, preventive maintenance, diagnostic fault-code troubleshooting using laptop computer / software, electrical, air brake and air conditioning systems diagnosis and repair.
  • Technicians are also dispatched from the “RoadSquad” Center to provide emergency roadside assistance to customers.
  • And, as the exclusive Freightliner “ServicePoint" network, we provide Freightliner customers warranty repairs as a convenient alternative.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

1. Minimum of one year supervisory in the appropriate following area: Truck Service and Repair, travel center, major retailer, or other related business activity

2. Analysis financial reports (i.e. understanding the calculations on the P &L, coverage ratio, budget & expense reports… etc.) to create positive financial results at all times.

3. Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills (i.e. give clean instruction to hourly staff to accomplish assigned task; motivate and train them to unleash their talent).

4. Ability to perform all hourly functions to assist when needed.

5. Demonstrate proficient customer service skills to provide “Best in Class" service.

6. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

7. Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver information clearly in responding to questions from co-workers within the company and the customers.

8. Ability to effectively communicate with other profit center general managers and field managers.

9. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and proactively completed assigned duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
