The primary role of the Natural Cheese Department is to assist in production of our Natural Cheese to meet food safety, customer quality, and worker safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
1) Operate systems and equipment as trained and specified.
2) Ensure accurate record keeping of performed testing and recording charts are properly documented according to company and regulatory regulations.
3) Adhere to all current SOPs, procedures, and quality requirements.
4) Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.
5) Maintain cooperative working relationships and communications with employees from all other departments.
6) Obtain and maintain training, certifications, and licenses that are required.
7) Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required, or directed by plant management.
Requirements:
1) Minimum of at least one year of manufacturing experience preferred, food manufacturing is a plus.
2) Must have good oral and written communication skills.
3) Must have HS Diploma or GED.
4) Ability to perform basic math skills and reading comprehension.
5) Willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned and as changing situations arise.
6) Maintain professional and positive attitude and work ethic.
7) Must follow all Yancey's Fancy GMPs and work consistent with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Physical Requirements 1) Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, grab, push, pull, hold and carry.
2) Must be able to perform repetitive motion work.
3) Lift up to 40lbs.
4) Standing, walking, and climbing for 8
hours a day.
5) Must be able to handle hot and humid environment of 80
degrees.
